Big Fish/Little Fish

We are excited to offer our Big Fish/Little Fish tradition again this season! This was created with the intent of helping younger swimmers feel more confident at meets and on the deck.

  • Big Fish Role (typically 13 and older, in some cases 12 years old)
    • Cheerleader
    • Helper–cap, locating swimmer, answer questions
    • Friend
  • Little Fish Role (typically 11/12 and under)
    • Cheerleader
    • Ask questions

Expectations

  • Younger swimmer paired with older swimmers
  • Gifts
    • Introduction gift is allowed
    • Not looking to give gifts every meet
  • Built in cheerleader/friend for all swimmers at the swim meets! So fun to see Littles and Bigs cheering each other on!
  • We understand that not everyone is social.  However, we encourage parents to help their swimmer get to know their "fish" and work together to develop a fun relationship. Everyone enjoys seeing a familiar face on the deck.
  • Using our Meet Themes is a great way to partner up with your Fish and maybe plan to dress up for the meets together!
